Isla de la Juventud is the new name after 1975, to replace it´s previus name of Isla de Pinos, and is well know in this name internationally. Is the second area island in Cuban Archipelago.

SIt´s found in Cuban Southestern at 138 km of Havana City. It´s the biggest Island of Canarreos Archipelago. Althougt not so big in size, we can find a big contrast between the north and south geography.Both regions are separated by Lanier Marsh (Ciénaga), It divide East from West.

To go to "Isla de la Juventud" it´s possible to use a ferry, motor boat or plane.

In Isla de la Juventud exist very big marble store. The beach La Bibijagua is very famous for it´s black sands.
