It´s not a touristy municipality. It is surrounded by Playa, La Lisa, Boyeros and Cerro municipalities. The most important ways are : 31st, 41st, 51st avenues and 100th and 124th streets.

There are many hospitales : Ophtalmological Hospital "Pando Ferrer" (former "Liga contra la Ceguera"), Maternity Hospital "Eusebio Hernandez" (Maternidad Obrera), Pediatrics Hospital "Juan Manuel Marquez; the School Centers : "Ciudad Libertad" (former "Cuartel de Columbia"), High School (PreUniversitario) "Manolito Aguiar", Economy School, Music School "Alejandro García Caturla" and Painting School "San Alejandro", and others.
